really looking forward to reading the account and seeing pics- loved the ones posted so far. can visualise Dora sitting on that staircase and Steve at the bottom. gorgeous red carpet too- mixing with the nobs eh? to slightly misquote Mr. Ross

Our Follymeet was really lovely.  It was so exciting (and slightly scarey) meeting everybody, but we all chatted away like old friends and had a really good laugh too!   ;D

Seeing Stockeld Park was such a highlight.  Jane and I sat where Dora sat on the stairs.  The staircase is magnificent, just as it looks on the dvd, but it seemed smaller to me.  Oh yes, I also stood where Steve stood at the bottom of the stairs.   :D  ::)   

The amazing stables have tiled floors and central heating  :o - I have a feeling that the horses were better looked after than the servants years ago!   ::)  ;D 


I'll post some pics when I've sorted them all.   ;)  Colin and I took a fair few between us!!!!!   ::)

In the original scenes Loopy, the walls were coloured white etc bt at Stockeld now, everything in the Oval stairwell room was painted a yellowy colour and the carpet was a bright red.

Yes -I saw you and Jane sat down together on the stairs !  ::)    :D By then we were all in the other room  :D

Oh yes, the other rooms - they were great too weren't they?  Stockeld is a house that you can really imagine yourself living in - not as grand and ornate as some properties.  Being shown around by the owner was a bonus too. Not only did we get to see the stables but she let us see the kitchen too, which other visitors are not allowed to see.   ::)    :)

Thats right Loopy-we were very lucky-and also you were jammy in persuading Susie Grant to let us into the stables bt if you remember, when she tried to unlock the doors- they wodn't open at first!  :o :(  Bt thankfully they did  ;D

All these lovely photos bt none of us are on them as yet-cud this be a Follyfoot Forum conspiracy theory in the making? That is -it never actually happened-and the photos are faked/copied somehow to give the impression we went? (but didn't)  :o  ;)  :D  ;D  ;D

Yes, it did happen-we all went  :)   ;)

Ha ha ! well done Jane

I am the youngish :) good-lookin man  :D ::) next to Loopy! lol   I had got even less hair than Nick -so my white cap disguise was in order! I was intending also to wear dark shades too! I am the tallish (6ft 2") skinny one  :D

I got on very well with Loopy-in fact if she had brought along a black, Steve Hodson wig+ a black leather jacket, I wod hav worn them just for her all day long :D  ;)

Good photo of Rob in the foreground!

When we all went for the group photo shoot by the gate, I stood next to Loopy (Linda) and she smiled and said 'wer'e little and large'  :o :D I had to slouch a bit next to her  ::)

Yes, my account with the pictures is with Louise now! There is a bit in there abt something really interesting bt best we keep it a 'surprise' until it appears on her Tribute site. Something to do with the 'Lightning Tree'  ::)

Have just had the briefest look at this thread before dinner, and wow - half your luck folks! Beautiful weather, that staircase and you all look like you're having a ball! Envious....um.... just totally green!  ;D ;D
