Can't see it either Jane although the clothes Dora wears in all the video of Thornhill are the same and similar to what she's wearing in this shot

I think this one will remain a mystery for now. But amazing how these new things keep popping out of the woodwork so you never know we might find out one day  :)

I told Jane that I could not believe my eyes when I saw it, I just thought it would be archive footage of Thornhill Colliery, interesting because an episode of Follyfoot was filmed there, and the first thing I saw was Jane Royston unloading horses, there was no way I ever thought there would be behind the scenes footage of the filming, I was just lucky, or should I say we were lucky.

Wowsa Motormouse,

Where did you find this gem?? I just adore  >95< watching this clip over and over  >41< Some great memories of me and my grandad walking past the top path by the colliery circa 1968 to when this was clip was filmed in about 1972. I remember seeing the miners lamps and lockers through the windows back then. Also the battered and rusty pit tubs in the yard too. Grandad pointing out to me, from what memories he had from working there, the 'pit fitters' workshop, shower rooms and other areas.

Edwin Hepworth also recalled similar memories from his days there. He left the colliery in late 1972. I have told Edwin about this footage and how some of his old workmates are in the film clip too. That certainly made him smile i can tell you  :)
A planned visit for me to escort Edwin to pop next door to my mum's to watch this footage is in the making as Edwin does not do anything relating to computers. (I kind of envy him for that).

To say i walked down that very Colliery driveway to work for 11 years also makes me study how things have changed around there. It's both scary and uplifting thinking about it  >24<

Gotta go as mi mam want another cuppa making before i go back home.

Lotsa luv xx
Rick
