The frightening thing is that we seem to have a lot of that sort of book on our shelves.... especially those from the 50s/60s/70s. Sue loves pony books from her girlhood, and I always try to find them for her in local charity shops and at the monthly bookfair.

I know Jane Badger had to pay for a Follyfoot photo to include in her book. I think it might be one from the 1980s book covers which I think were the best

I know, really hard to get the older ones in charity shops these days.   I do occasionally find them in book shops...but not cheap. I think most end up on ebay!

I still keep looking for you, . And check our withdrawn stock at the libraries. But nothing recently. 

It is like a lot of things, if people know there is market, they will try to sell them for as much as possible.

I still have my pony books from my childhood stored at Mum's and also here on my own bookshelves. I do keep an eye out in charity shops and second hand bookshops for anything interesting to add to the collection, but there are fewer around these days. Either these books have ended up in the bin or there are tons of women our age busily collecting them and reliving their childhoods

Just got my sticky little mitts on the new book by Jane Badger "Heroines on Horseback"

It's a must if you love pony books and best of all there is a chapter on Follyfoot, a great write up with photos  and this forum gets a mention too
