The amazing stables have tiled floors and central heating   - I have a feeling that the horses were better looked after than the servants years ago!

I just loved the stables and the green tiles on the walls

Another green eyed monster here. >:(

Looks like you all had a great time.

I was saddened not to be with you all in the end >47< ....hopefully next year.

Looking forward to hearing more about it in the report, Pete and of course the personal accounts too!

Me too!
Thanks for posting all the pics! Stockled Park looks great and exactly like in the series ( only Steve is missing!).
My only problem is, that I can´t recognize who is who in the pictures with the persons ( except Rob).
I think you could give me a little hint, who is who!
Many nice greetings, folly3.

Hi folly3-hopefully there will be a group photo put up soon where most of us stood by the Stockeld Park gate and some of the others took photos  :)

After finding out that they used a nearby village called Thorner for filming too, Colin, Rob and I visited it.  It's simply delightful and as soon as we entered the village around a corner by the church we recognised the school (now Thorner Parish Centre) which was used in 'Out of the Blue Horse' when Dora fell into the bin trying to get Callie's attention.

Thorner, looking up the high street towards the church (you see this view in 'The Four Legged Hat')

Thorner was also used for the hat shop window in 'The Four Legged Hat' which is now a window of a garage.

Here's Dora admiring the hat - the garage doors behind being a dead giveaway when you go to find it.

It's also at Thorner that Ron meets Dora's mother at the flower shop in 'Fly Away Home'.

Fantastic pictures Loopy- I wish I'd gone with you -still there is always next year  :)

I am very pleased that the village has hardly altered and the scenes were still intack and thank goodness the school is still there and not been demolished and replaced by aircraft -hanger type school buildings  >:(

Many thanks Leveller173- I remember speaking to you I think. I believe Peter and Michael were with you also takin photos. I am at the back in blue, covering my eyes frm the sun.
