I found the book !  :)  >49<

It was a Collins Harper publication. I eventually spotted it on the internet and contacted the site owner and ordered 2 copies-one an original and the other a later publication.  >91<

Beautiful illustrations  >39<

What fantastic illustrations Squeaky.  It's the sort of book I would have loved back then - can't understand why I haven't seen it before.   ???

Mmmm same here Loopy  ::) They are wonderful-especially for a youngster back then  :)  Maybe you were into boys magazines and Steve on Follyfoot during the early 70's instead  ;D

These are some illustrations from a Children's Encyclopedia called "Pictorial Knowledge" that was produced in the late 1930s and was passed to me by my mother when I was very young. It has some fantastic pictures. One of the editors was Enid Blyton. I'm afraid some of the articles would not be regarded as politically correct nowadays!
