Hi Vernon, welcome to the forum  >41<

The 50th anniversary meet has been mentioned on here but it doesn't seem to have the interest that the 40th had  :( I missed the 40th and am still kicking myself.

I can't see Gillian and Steve being there either this time. Maybe closer to the date something may be organised.  :)

Thanks Tony for reply let’s hope so. One other question are the general public allowed to walk down around the farm location. Cheers

There's a public footpath that runs near the farm and past the large pond. It then passes the wood where Steve got his foot trapped in a poachers trap, the small pond is just in the wood, this is where Dora opened her heart to Steve in the episode 'treasure hunt'.

The farm has been modernised into a large house and some of the barns have been knocked down. This is private property and there is a wall surrounding it. The footpath does take you past the house and within viewing distance but I wouldn't suggest getting any closer.

I have stood next to the large pond which is nice and I've been next to the small pond, that brought back some memories.  >95<

There's endless pictures and information on the forum and website. Well worth a look, enjoy  >41<

Welcome to the forum Vernon in beautiful Cornwall!  It's great to hear from you.   >33<

Tony's absolutely correct - visit the website and find out all the info about Hollin Hall.  Look for Hollinhare's mammoth FF walk.  It starts at the village hall where Dora met Chip at the disco and it takes you down to the lakes and further if you like walking (about 6-7 miles for the whole walk).

Best to do it in the summer when the ground isn't too wet.   8)

Thank you for your welcome and Follyfoot knowledge I was 15 years of age when the series ended but it seems like yesterday. I do have a copy of Jane Royston’s book, very interesting. Hope to visit next summer, take that walk-in and then have a pint in the Harewood arms cheers  vernon >73<

Just been going through photos and videos and the wooded area with the small lake looks beautiful, time to start planning my visit next summer.

Great news Vernon!   >41<  Although a lot has now gone, you'll absolutely love the lakes and feel the atmosphere... and tread in our heroes footsteps of course.   >21<
