When I was a kid my mother would say to me "If you don't eat what I give you , you can go without"

Now she's a granny she says to her grandchildren "Of course  I'll cut the crusts off my darling"

Mr Loopy's mum used to tell him that, if he was naughty, he'd turn into one of the horrible scary 'gargoyle' doorknockers that some people had years ago!   :o
