What I've done is created my own version of what happens after season 3 (yes, yet another version). I've taken an edgier darker tone in line with where season 3 was going, so it's rather different and may be a bit of a shock to fans. I am hoping to create a mini-series of maybe 6 episodes. I've written the first but it's not very long so I might hold back, or write a few episodes, make sure things are in proper continuity, before publishing. Then again, it may take me a while to do anything more. It's taken me ages to get round to this as it is - I thought of the idea years ago.
