There are two Follyfoot characters in this episode of "Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em" (The RAF Reunion) - Fulton MacKay and Desmond Llewellyn:

Brilliant find LC  >41< and an excellent classic, they don't make them like that anymore.

I've done a few screencaps showing the 'Colonel' and the 'Lock Keeper' encountering the accident-prone Frank Spencer!

Melody is another early nineteen seventies classic feature which reveals certain noteworthy connections regarding our favourite television programme. Hemdale Group was evidently one of three production companies behind its manifestation according to the motion picture credits. Lesley Roach appears at several important moments during this memorable film and ultimately becomes de facto chief bridesmaid. Follyfoot witnessed her convincing performance some few years later as an ingenuous young horsewoman with utterly irresponsible parents! :o

A further connection is that Hemdale was formed by David Hemmings, who starred in one episode of Follyfoot, and directed another two.

I overdosed on nostalgia while rewatching this memorable film after several decades. Certainly feels without exaggeration like somebody has committed my childhood to celluloid. Curious it being commercially unsuccessful in anglophone countries yet extremely popular elsewhere! ???

Just booked up to see 'The Verdict' by Barry Reed which is playing in our local theatre next March - starring (amongst others) Clive Mantle (Casualty/Holby City and Robin of Sherwood) and Jack Shepherd (Wycliffe).  I was pleasantly surprised to see that the cast also includes Veronica Quilligan (Hazel)!!  Can't wait to see it.

If it is anything like Sidney Lumet's film version it will be edge-of-the-seat, gripping stuff! No point in wearing nail polish on the evening!    ;D

It is wonderful to hear Veronica Quilligan is keeping company with such accomplished names in theatre.  I wonder which part she is playing...    ;)
