Last names of the characters?
« on: July 26, 2007, 06:21:23 AM »
What are the last names of the characters on Follyfoot, does anyone know?

In particular, what is Dora's last name supposed to be?

hi Rusty

as far as i remember the main character names were...

Colonel Geoffrey Maddox
Dorothy [ Dora ] Maddox
Steven [ Steve ] Ross
Ronald [ Ron ] Stryker
Arthur [ Slugger ] Jones

i cannot recall the surname of the character 'Paul', but i'm sure that blank will quickly be filled in.

'E were Dora's dad's brother as was. Arthur & Prudence Maddox are Dora's parents.

Paul only appears in the books...not sure what his surname is or whether it is ever mentioned.

BTW Larue, I don't think Dora was ever Dorothy. She was called "Dorothy" in one episode by that annoying lady (da*n, now I'll have to go to the DVD too!!) who was sent by Bernie someone to manage the stables while the Colonel was ill. Ah, Phyllis, that's it. Phyllis always called everyone by the wrong name, especially in the book (Dora at Follyfoot).

(I'm feeling a bit anorakky at the moment...think I'll have a little lie down. Callie was Callie Shephard, Lewis was Lewis Hammond...arrghhh :-? :-? :-?)

Okay :).

I just had vague memories of Dora's Mum talking to "Geoffrey" like a close relative.

Okay, so I meant a really close relative :).

I'm not particularly close to my in-laws. Maybe it's just me.

That would have the episode 'A Helping Hand' then, Sabrina.  :) :) Why do I know that....think wet hair!! ;) You know what I mean, Sabrina!

And I too don't think that Paul's surname was ever given in the books.

Regards as always

hi Sabs

you could well be right there, i had a vague memory of her mother calling Dora her Dorothy in the first ep. mind you, all of my memories are rather vague these days, so maybe i'll just have to watch the ep again. what a bummer-not. :)

on that note, i will have to decline entering the great follyfoot trivia quiz, if anyone ever has the idea of starting one... ::)

Larue - you are an absolute mine of information!

Didn't know that Slugger's surname was Jones - in which episode did that get aired ?  (That gives you an excuse to go back and watch a few more.....)

hi Hellie and RST
Slugger's real names come from the book 'Cobbler's Dream'. as far as i am aware [stands by to be corrected] he is only ever referred to as Slugger or Slugs in the tv show.
