Gillian would have one male fan there at least, and I am sure I could make as much noise as all the fillies put together!

Don't bet on it, Michael.... ;D

Let's hope we get invited to the book launch, all the stars are there, and we get a chance to find out !!!

Hello everyone

I wanted to update you all on progress of the new book – Follyfoot Remembered by Jane Royston.

The first draft is now complete, and we are working on layout, design and copyright, with anticipated publication Spring 2010 – exact date will be confirmed nearer the time.

Jane and I want the book to really complement the series, and pay tribute to the sheer quality of the acting, continuity and production values, which were the ingredients that made Follyfoot into a timeless classic.

Jane Royston was Horse Manager throughout all three series of Follyfoot, and she will be telling you all about the stories behind the camera, and the book will also contain:

• Up to date and very rare interviews with the leading actors
• Many rare and never before seen photographs - some from private collections, available for the very first time
• Divulge many unknown facts – locations used, input from cast and crew, as well as original scripts and call sheets

Follyfoot Remembered is a brand new publication – never before available, and will provide a unique companion for the recently released Follyfoot DVD’s

More information will be available from time to time over the next few months, and rest assured, you will read it first on this Follyfoot Forum.

Best wishes - Barney

Hi Barney,
I´m so pleased to hear that the follyfoot book really "comes true" and will be published next year in spring!
I´m really looking forward to that ... and I´m absolutely curious what it will contain... and to hold it in my hands.
Nice of you to keep us on the run and report us every now and then, what progress the book project makes.
Many greetings, folly3.

Just to keep everyone up to date with the progress of the book, I've copied Pete's (squeakytre) comments from another thread and posted here.

When I originally spoke to Jane Royston at the begining of this year the book was in in limbo and on hold however (just speaking to Jane today),the publishers are apparently in the process of bringing it all together in preparation for print-so it is definately in the pipeline!  ;)

This is excellent news!  8-)

Well, I just hope they do a decent sized first time print run, because I can't imagine any of these treasured books will be left gathering dust on the shelves of Amazon or similar!  What's the bet we all pre-order one once the date for release is announced?! :)
And yes - if Gillian Steve & Christian could pre-sign the first 100 (1000? ha!) all the better !  Of course, this would attract a premium price, but I'm sure no Folly Forum Fan would mind in the least  ;)
