Hi Claire

Yes, it is frustrating as there is so much in the book that we want to know about!!   ::)

Still, it makes sense to publish in the 40th Anniversary year.  I wonder if we can get it repeated on ITV3 too - worth a go I reckon?  ;)

Welcome Claire.

Like you I' want the book now.  But I guess if I can survive waiting for the series to come out on DVD, then I can wait a bit longer for the book.  I just hope it'll be on Amazon.com UK or some other outlet that'll ship internationally.

Thanks all.

Ahh next year, ok.

Like you say, it does make sense to release in line with the 40th anniversary (40 years, wow!) - stronger PR angle for the publisher.

It will have to make the perfect birthday present next year instead  :)

Look forward to hearing more updates in the run up to the big day!

Claire

I agree Loopy, it would be great to get FF repeated in its Anniversary year.  :)      Or as an alternative...
Some of the smaller channels like ITV3 regularly show programmes where stars from 60s/70s TV sit and talk about their experiences  filming their shows, inbetween clips from the series.
(They've recently done Are You Being Served?,  Skippy,  and 'Allo 'Allo.)

If we pester some of the Controllers of these channels with Emails,  one of them might be persuaded to make a Follyfoot 40th Anniversary Special.

For our overseas members, maybe we could upload it in segments onto this site.

Well I'm willing to give it a go... what harm can it do - they can only say no.   ::)

Definately, if Jane and Ray agree after the book has been out for a while  ;)

That would be better than nothing.  I'm more of a "need to hold books in my hand" person.  But if I can only get it electronically than so be it. Maybe it'll wind up on iTunes as an iBook.  Then I'd really have an excuse to get the iPad I want. >5< >6< >19<.

If the book was only for sale in UK, I am sure some UK based members would be only too happy to buy a copy and post it overseas, Paypal is an excellent way to transfer the money to pay for it...

I am definitely planning to be in UK next summer and buy it there but it would be nice to know there is another option if it is not published in time for the anniversary or for some reason I can't make it...  :)
