Thornhill Colliery in North Yorkshire provides one of the studio backgrounds for the TV children's serial Follyfoot. From Screenonline Mining Review: 25th Year (1971-72)

Thanks Motormouse  >41< As it's just facts I've copied it in case the link ever disappears  :)

Our Super Sleuth Motormouse has found this clip on You Tube about filming of The Innocents at Thornhill Colliery. It's the first 3 minutes or so and you see Jane Royston leading a pony out of a horsebox and Gillian and Steve filming   >39<

Great find Motormouse  >107<

I love the way they call it "Follyfoots"  :D

 >39< Motormouse. Interesting to note that the shot above that we didn't think was at the pit is described as a chase over
the colliery tip.

Can't see it either Jane although the clothes Dora wears in all the video of Thornhill are the same and similar to what she's wearing in this shot

I think if you look carefully by Kennedy’s catering truck at the side door that is open it looks like Steve and Gillian are standing there, trust the catering truck to draw a crowd.

Steve's 'clapperboard' shot must have been a head and shoulders one as he's holding a cigarette in his hand.   >104<
