Pack Horse Bridge in the Prize
« on: August 27, 2012, 11:07:37 AM »
As I am a bit of a petrol head I was watching Fifth Gear today and the they were filming at the Ilkley trials and they drove through the ford at Pack horse bridge where Dora was stuck in the river and had to be rescued by Steve in the episode the Prize, yes I know I am sad, but if you want to watch the clip and don’t want to watch all of the clip forward to 3.38.  >11< Barry

Not sad, I think we all do a bit of location spotting now and then   8)

I've done a not very good screen cap of it  :)

Nice screen cap Jane, the bent tree to the left of the bridge is still there and the two trees to the right where Steve sat to tip the water out of his boots still seem to be there as well.

Had a wander down to the bridge this morning. I noticed a couple of trees have been chopped down but thankfully "Steve's tree" is still there and the bent tree escaped the chop  >24<

Lovely place... Sorry had to nip out, Vulcan's just passed over on her Farewell Tour of the South.

 >405<  Jane

It's a nice place to visit and so tranquil  :)

I wanted a picture of my bike on the bridge, when I was there last, but I couldn't find a route down from the road  >98<

And a location that's virtually the same as in Follyfoot days 8)
