Just want to say thank you to Hollinhare for the map and details for the walk round the Harewood estate and Hollin Hall. me and my wife Sonia had a great time and began and ended with drinks and food at the Harewood Arms :).
We will be doing the trip again soon and exploring some of the other locations that we didn't get to :D

Thanks again, highly recommended

Hi Webby, glad you liked the walk, I took advantage of the dry & sunny weather  >128<  :o today & walked down to Hollin Hall with my dog Issy. It did turn into 'ordeal by cow' unfortunately  >:( 4 of the fields we had to walk through had young daft cows who thought we were just the most fascinating things they had ever seen but I did take a few photos before being dragged home by a very indignant lurcher...

a couple of beautiful residents of New Laithe Farm.

this is as close as we got to the lake because as you can see we have been clocked by the cows & they're already putting into action their pincer movement plan to head us off at the next gate...

I was really pleased to see this abundance of wildlife in the top barn (where the hayloft used to be) I don't have a brilliant zoom so this was as close as I could get but in addition to a couple of housemartins there was a Little Owl watching me from the window...

Lovely to see the photos, Hollinhare - especially the owl!

We were lucky with the cows as they were wandering away when we arrived :) Sonia is terrified of cows and horses so quite an ordeal :) Sat by the lake which was very special but didn't really get very close to the buildings >:( so any photos are greatly appreciated.
Def won't be our last trip :D

Nice to see it again Hollinhare - you're so lucky living so near the hallowed ground.  I wish I could just wander down when I felt like it.  How wonderful to see that owl!  8)
