When I watch them I'll see if I recognise any locations.

I'm sure you will Mortimer - enjoy them.   ;)

The two trees where Steve took his boots off to get the water out are still there, you can just see them to the right of the photo, it is very awkward place to get to, the road down to the bridge only goes so far and then it is in a very bad state of repair, I went down by motorbike and had to ride in the centre of the road, then you have to walk the last couple of hundred yards to the river as it is gravel the rest of the way, but well worth a visit, I am glad I went.

I also done Hollinhares walk, she was not joking about the hills, but I still enjoyed it, I will post more photos later.

Oh that's brilliant motormouse.  8) So lovely to see the Packhorse Bridge virtually unchanged.

I want to go there now too!

Would you like your photos to go on the website?  :)

That's fine by me if you want to use any of the photos, but I have to reduce the size of them to get them on the web site, if you want them full size I could always send you them on a memory stick as I am not sure if they will email full size, I also took photos of the lay-by where Ron and Lewis stopped there motorbikes, it's the same place where Steve rode Ron's motorbike in Shadow, I will just add them here anyway for people to see them, it might take a couple of days to reduce them all.

Pack Horse Bridge.
Which episode was Packhorse Bridge (aka Dobpark Bridge in the 1:25K OS map) used in? It might be useful when people mention locations if they said which episode they relate to.

Motormouse,

I echo Jane's comment about Packhorse Bridge - it is almost astonishing to see it is completely recognisable after all this time and wonder if inaccessibility has contributed to its preservation.  Thank you very much for sharing this.  I'm looking forward to seeing your other photos!

Mortimer,

This is where the beginning of "The Prize" was filmed; Dora is riding Kalinka who stops mid-stream and Steve has to dismount and lead them to the bank where he sits and empties water out of his boots.
