Hi Jane
lovely to see you here  :) - not sure who I can contact in Australia but will investigate the commercial channels as we now have several digital channels are are enjoying reruns of Are You Being Served? and On The Buses so Follyfoot might well be a possible!
Cheers,
Sabrina

Hi

I have a feeling that we will all get the same response, if that is the case I will send another email asking how we can get in  touch with the program planner, or what we should do next.

Thanks again  - Jane

I agree Jane, maybe a different approach is needed.  >41<

Email sent, but I fear I'll  just get  the  standard  “ Dear Hercules” reply. I'll let you know. Perhaps as  Suzy says a different approach may be needed, but exactly what I'm not sure.

@MJ...  Don't know about Michigan public television but Georgia PBS purchases MANY British productions.  Perhaps we should put in our two cents worth anyway—even knowing that a rebroadcast over there wouldn't do us any good over here—and suggest their marketing department pitch "Follyfoot" to American public television buyers. And... contact our respective PBS entities to suggest that this would be a worthy addition to their imported entertainment.

'Fraid there's not much hope here.  Detroit PBS pretty much eliminated showing British shows because they cost too much to import. Most of the support for the British shows comes from Canada anyway .   We get the odd Masterpiece Theater and MI-5 episodes. But the comedy shows are all gone. :-[

We'd probably have a better chance asking them to pitch Follyfoot to BBC America.  Not sure how the Beeb would feel about broadcasting an ITV show. But it may be worth a try. After all, the worst they can do is say no.

And with whom would they need to negotiate about the rights if they were interested in a rerun? Tamara & Jane?

Hi

As far as I know ITV has still got the rights, because when we were on Calendar they said they had got snippets of Follyfoot from the library and did not have to pay for them because it was still there's

if so it might be in their interests to bring it to a wider audience and spark more interest in DVD sales.

If Network doesnt have the rights, then I suppose it's a case of "we do have the rights, but we cannot be bothered".
