Hi Hercules - and welcome to a very friendly forum!

 :)

You'll never escape now...

You make it sound as dangerous as The Hotel California

Nope, trust me there IS no escape.  ;) I only joined because back in Nov 09 I was feeling nostalgic and typed in some memories of the 70s, including Follyfoot.  Then a few weeks later my TV went on the blink so I began a Follyfoot story that I'm still writing because half the time I have no idea where it's going.  ::)  Now here I am, over 18 months later, checking into the forum on my day off work.  I don't THINK there's any truth in the rumour they're going to re-name the forum Hotel California, but...  :o ;) ;D

Thanks for the warm and friendly welcome  everyone.

The  comparison with the "Hotel California"  holds only partly true.

For a start it looks to me like you don’t leave here for all the right reasons, not the wrong ones and it’s probably only the ladies who have  a lot of pretty, pretty boys they  call friends. I’m more of a “Desperado” myself.    ;)

 >2<Hercules... it will takes ages to explore all the nooks and crannies of this forum alone.  And ages more to read all the great member-contributed fanfiction both here and on Louise's tribute site (up there at the top of the page).  Judging from your introductory paragraph, it would seem you are in possession of a flair for humorous expression!  We have so many interesting threads on such a plentiful variety of topics—from birds and bears to buses and trains—but I don't recall anything about fly-fishing or even fishing in general, so there you go... your personal niche. You can be our resident Izaak Walton and will find you a nice fishy smiley or bananafish.

After watching "Birthday at Follyfoot"  again I reckon I'm probably  marginally better at it than Slugger.............................   :)

Hmmm, I've always wondered how those two little fish went round four of them for supper!!  (Somewhat Biblical?  ::))

I wondered that too. Then I realised it must have had something to do with the saintly presence of Dora.   ::)

I'm a bit more pragmatic, I think they were all still full from the bacon and eggs they had for breakfast and the stew they had for lunch.  ;D
