I was looking through an old "Look in annual" in a charity shop and seen an article on the casting of Follyfoot..it quotes that Ron was tipped of that the series would involve him in a lot of "riding" and assumed horse riding..He started horseriding lessons urgently to brush up his skills....later and somewhat saddle sore Stryker was shoked to see it was motor bike riding skills for him

Well..I think he looked good riding both horse and bike so maybe it was worth the pain in the end

That's true, despite the bad boy biker image etc he looked believable on the horseback too

I can easily imagine that horse might enjoy his relaxed company.

Yes, you have to have your love interests, your sensible person, your comedian, your real baddies and your naughty but nice person, just like Ron.

I think Ron's character had the most fun...along with Slugger! He could ride OK in the series though, he looked quite comfortable on horseback.

I think I read somewhere that he learned to ride especially for the part of Ron.

I remember too reading about it somewhere, and that it was a surprise for him that the thing he would be riding was going to be a motorbike, not horses! What a disappointment for him!
