The Follyfoot/Grange Hill connection
« on: June 20, 2007, 03:48:17 PM »
No prize I'm afraid but can anyone name the Follyfoot guest actors who went on to appear in the still-running Grange Hill? I can think of at least four, one of whom was a main pupil at the Hill.

If you can't work out who they are, I'll tell you later...

or Follyfoot/ Brideshead Revisited

Actually when you think of it there were a lot of extremely talented actors involved with the series...not to mention the "greats" like David Hemmings.

Follyfoot has a connection with Airwolf? Enlighten me. One of the Follyfoot/EastEnders connections just so happens to be a Follyfoot/GH connection too...

OK then, let's put you put of your misery. In order of appearance in Follyfoot:

CHRISTOPHER COLL
George Platt / Mr Malcolm the swimming teacher (1978);

BARBARA KEOGH
Apple Woman / Shop assistant in newsagent's (1992);

RICHARD BEAUMONT
Gavin / David Sellars (1979);

PETER COPLEY
Sir John / Vicar who conducted Ray's brother's wedding (1993);

JAMES OTTAWAY
Chadwick / Mr Light (1985)

Another Follyfoot guest also played a payphone engineer in Grange Hill in 1985. At the moment I've forgotten his name...

I'm sure that there are loads more - must keep an eye out.............
Plenty more. For instance, Antony Woodruff (Bricklebank the lawyer in Fly Away Home) is better known to those of a certain age as Mr Bunting in Look And Read - The Boy From Space, which is still getting regular re-runs on the CBBC Channel.
