Thanks !  :) Emmerdale runs on one Finnish TV channel but a couple of years behind UK so that episode won't be coming out any time soon...  >48<

Spell check proposes immortal instead of Emmerdale, might just be right  :D

I use to watch Emmerdale (Farm) back in the 1970s and into the 80s when the programme was still about farms, the countryside and country folk but if it's really like that living in the Yorkshire dales now days forget it!. Micky

I remember my nan was an avid fan of crossroads back in the 70s and she once met the actor who played Benny-''oh miss Diane''- ( I dnt know his name) and had apparently remarked to my mother that he was completely different to the character that he played in the saop. My nan was expecting him to be simple in real life!  :)

Crossroads has been moved to 'old telly' where it better belongs. Micky  >41<

Emmerdale usually film about 6 weeks in advance so they must have been there a week or so after our visit... Somebody was filming something last week at Lofthouse Gate (a big old gateway into Harewood parkland off the A61 opposite Wike lane _ it's on the ff walk) I don't know what - it's usually Emmerdale, but Rob did mention that other new series they were filming round here a while ago. I must get on the iplayer now & catch up!

Funnily enough I don't normally watch Emmerdale but tonight was at my elder daughter house, she does watch the programme religiously and was amazed to see the old barns and lake of Follyfoot. Infact I was just about to say something when I my husband piped up and said 'That looks like Follyfoot'! It was great to think I'd been in that very barn! My daughter was very impressed.
I couldn't resist phoning my parents, more avid Emmerdale watchers and telling them too!

Well done Yorkshire Television for resurrecting the Follyfoot location.

Sue

I'm not usually an Emmerdale fan but I had to see this! Missed the Tuesday one (will try ITV Player) but just seen Wednesday's episode. Great to see the barns used again - but I do hope they haven't touched the old blue doors! I wonder if Steve, Christian or Gillian (or anyone else from FF) watched it?

Rob did mention that other new series they were filming round here a while ago.

The other TV series was Inspector Banks starring Stephen Tompkinson, based on the books by Peter Robinson. Only one has been broadcast so far, a two-parter called "Aftermath" - I recognised some Leeds city landmarks in that, but no Follyfoot / Harewood locations. Mind you, that particular story had a largely urban setting.

I've just watched Tuesdays & Wednesdays on the ITV player & was really impressed, there were loads of shots of the lake & barns - I notice they only used the safer end of the top barn though!

I've watched it too now...drama, tears, fighting...bit like Follyfoot really  ;D

I was surprised how much they showed of it, I thought we'd only get a glimpse. Yes I noticed they only used the safe end of the barn. There was a structural engineer there on the day we visited the farm. Maybe he was doing a "risk assesment" for Emmerdale?

I'll try and get the screencaps done today for those who haven't been able to see it  :)
